Wengar Rejects Rumors Of Arsenals Content

Arsenal continued their good end of season form after a 1-0 win over West Brom. The victory ensured them a top four finish, while it has often been criticised that Arsenal are more than happy with this kind of performances. The club has failed to win a major trophy in the last nine years. Even though they have a great opportunity to lift the FA Cup this season, Arsenal have often been viewed as a club happy to sit fourth in the table and bask on the revenues from the Champions League.

Wenger has rejected such solutions by saying that he is hoping that the players learn from the mistakes that they have made this season and focus on winning the league title next year. Arsenal were in contention for the Premier league title for most of the season. They have been one of the teams to lead the table for most part of the season, but a spate of injuries in the second half of the campaign has reduced their title ambitions to top four ambitions.

Arsenal will once again go through the play-offs in order to qualify for the Champions League group stages, which will provide up to £ 30 million in revenue alone.

“I am happy with the attitude, the behaviour and the consistency of my players, but I am frustrated as well because we were 120 days top of the league. The regret as well is at the most important period of the season we had two important players out. The attitude of the group was remarkably consistent and of quality, but we still have missed something to be decisive in the Premier League at the moment when we were in a good position,” said Wenger.

The club play against Hull city in the FA Cup final.
