NEW LOW FOR UNITED

NEW LOW FOR UNITED

Manchester United has reached a new low after losing 2-0 against Olympiakos as they

played their 1st leg of the Champions League at the Georgios Karaiskaki Stadium and goals from Alejandro Dominguez and Joel Campbell has allowed the Greek team on placing 1 foot into the next stages of the European competition.

Joel Campbell scored the 2nd goal for Olympiakos but the moment that surprised just about everyone was the wonder goal that the Costa Rican player managed to score as he got past a Manchester United defender before unleashing a thunderous shot that curled its way into the back of David de Gea’s net.

Campbell is a 21 years old player capable of playing as a lone striker or down the wings and that goal displayed just a glimpse of what he has been doing in this season. He is playing on a 1 year loan deal with Olympiakos as Arsenal is his parent club but due to work permit issues, the Costa Rican forward has not been able to play in the Premier League.

He has finally worked it out and now has a valid work permit which allows him playing for Arsenal in the Premier League but his impressive season and recent wonder goal has arised speculation that Olympiakos is interested in agreeing a permanent move for Campbell.

However it will be hard for the Greek side on signing Campbell on permanent basis as the player himself has admitted his intentions on playing for Arsenal as he is a fan of the club and he believes, he is ready on playing with the big boys

Campbell told Sky Sports: “As soon as Arsenal came, I wanted to join them and I believe I am ready to play for Arsenal next season.

“I know I have the capacity to play there. I am only waiting for the opportunity. With hard work I know I can get there. United showed an interest in me when I was moving to Europe but I have been an Arsenal fan since I was a child and that’s why I chose them.”
